ATLANTA, Feb. 25, 2016 — The Buckhead Business Association (BBA) during its Annual Luncheon on Thursday honored several businesses for their roles in transforming the Buckhead community.

The BBA honored Atlanta History Center President and CEO Sheffield Hale with the Sam Massell Bullish on Buckhead honor. This year, the BBA renamed the award in honor of former Atlanta Mayor Sam Massell.

Justin Amick and William Stallworth, founders of The Painted Pin, were named Buckhead Entrepreneurs of the Year. The upscale boutique bar, which opened on Miami Circle in 2014 to rave reviews, features a mix of games, cocktails and food.

Mountain High Outfitters was selected the Buckhead Business of the Year. Other finalists were Keri Gold Salon, King+Duke, Sally B’s Skin Yummies and Seven Lamps.

Garden Hills Pool, which in 2014 unveiled an upgraded facility, was given the Buckhead Business Beautification Award. Other finalists were Lenox Square Mall for its renovated facade and the Restoration Hardware that opened in 2014 on Peachtree Road.

“This past year was a great one for businesses and entrepreneurs in Buckhead,” BBA Executive Director Smita Solanki told the audience. “We are excited to celebrate these successes today. And, we look forward to the future of the Buckhead community.”

Georgia State University President Dr. Mark Becker gave the keynote address.

At the conclusion of the event, the BBA announced that the Taste of Buckhead is scheduled for Sept. 15 at The Stave Room at American Spirit Works on Armour Drive. The popular event brings together restaurants and chefs from some of Buckhead’s hottest restaurants.
